Smooth Brains is a software studio that builds and maintains small, focused software projects across developer tooling, blockchain infrastructure, and applied AI. The studio publishes command-line tools for automated trading workflows and AI-assisted development, including HLGO and ralph. It develops and operates BusZap, an iOS app that provides
real-time London bus arrival information using Transport for London data. Smooth Brains also creates and contributes to frameworks and plugins for Substrate networks and Claude Code, such as Moonwall and Kiln. In addition to shipping apps and open source tools, the studio runs experiments in AI-driven research, trading strategies, and coding agents, including projects like Wikipedia Knowledge Agent and degen-ai. Its work targets software developers, blockchain practitioners, and commuters who use its consumer-facing apps.
