Shasta Public Libraries operates a multi-branch public library system that provides access to books, media, and digital resources for all ages. The organization offers lending services, online catalogs, and a digital library with ebooks, audiobooks, newspapers, research databases, and learning tools. It runs literacy services, adult education
including Career Online High School, and technology access through public computers, Wi-Fi, and device lending. The libraries host programs for adults, teens, and children, including storytimes, book clubs, makerspace activities, classes, and events. Additional services include government documents access, genealogy and local history collections, small business and veteran support, and spaces such as meeting rooms and study areas. Shasta Public Libraries also provides outreach, homeschool and class visits, and reading initiatives like summer reading and 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten.
