The company was founded in 2007 by Paolo Mazzara and Simone Giacco in Rome, Italy, in an effort to help expedite the hotel search process by consolidating booking sites into one page. Some of the partner sites that ProntoHotel works with include Expedia and Booking.com.
In 2014, the company launched the ProntoHotel Price Index, a useful tool which analyzes pricing trends across various accommodation types.
