Since 1982, the company operates the largest complex in Russia for the production of metal powders with a capacity of 3000 tons per year. Responding to the active development of additive technologies in various fields of industry, since 2016 POLEMA has been implementing the project "Production of high-alloy metal powders for surfacing, spraying and additive technologies" with the participation of the Industrial Development Fund. The company was the first in the Tula region to receive a targeted loan from the FRP. The volume of investments under the project exceeds 450 million rubles. The equipment park of POLEMA is unique for Russia: an atomizer, sieve and air classifiers and a spheroidizer were launched at the metal powder production site. The latest equipment allows us to expand the range of powders and improve their quality. Today, POLEMA is the only enterprise in Russia that has mastered the production of spherical tungsten and molybdenum powders of stable quality for 3D printing. The second joint project with the Industrial Development Fund was “Powder materials for machine tool building and high-temperature processes” launched in 2018. The project was approved and supported by the government of the Tula region. The volume of investments exceeds 1 billion rubles. The implementation of this project will allow "POLEMA" to produce products close to the final shape (Near Net Shape), as well as high-quality billets of alloy steels, tungsten carbide and other refractory powder materials. These products have no analogues in the Russian market. It is used in mechanical engineering, machine tool industry, oil and gas industry and other industries.
