Personal Democracy Media is an independent media company focused on the intersection of politics and technology, that has produced the annual Personal Democracy Forum conference since 2004 and publishes the award-winning news site, techPresident.com.
Since 2004, Personal Democracy Media has helped nurture a world-wide conversation about technology’s impact on government and politics, and society - providing a place to meet the people who are making that change happen, discover the tools powering the new civic conversation, spot the early trends, and to share in understanding and embracing this dynamic new force.
Founded in 2007, techPresident won the Knight-Batten Award for Innovation in Journalism that year for its coverage of the 2007-2008 presidential campaigns. The news site reports on how campaigns and organizations are using the web and social media, as well as how citizens and activists are using new technologies to participate in and change the political process.
