NextLevel specializes in identifying early stage companies with breakthrough technologies and/or services. We invest up to $1 million in companies that have completed their seed rounds of investments, but are not yet ready to approach the large, later stage funds. We also assist companies in raising additional capital alongside our investment
usually in companies looking to raise $2 - $10 million.
NextLevel equips portfolio companies with the solid business models necessary for success and future funding. This hands-on business development approach, called Soft Syndication™, allows our portfolio companies access to our founders’ considerable experience and to their wide networks of professional services companies. Also, in situations where companies do not have a complete management team, we can take on interim operating positions until there is a need for a full-time executive.
The later stage funds often look to us for their next investments. Our existing relationships in the financial community and our reputation for identifying and mentoring successful businesses make us a resource for the larger, later stage funds.
We focus on East Coast companies from Massachusetts to Florida. Our investments are in emerging and enabling technologies that have the potential to change industries. We are particularly interested in IT infrastructure, enterprise software, IT security, and wireless applications. We are also interested in applying these technologies to the financial services, telecommunications, and media industries.
