LCS-Diaspora is a nonprofit organization that supports the Cameroonian diaspora community in situations of bereavement and loss. The organization structures mutual aid and solidarity networks to provide coordinated assistance when a death occurs. Its services include organizing and facilitating traditional funeral rites and offering moral,
emotional, and psychological support to grieving families. LCS-Diaspora also coordinates community-funded financial assistance to help cover funeral and repatriation expenses. It uses a digital mutual assistance framework grounded in pooled resources to connect geographically dispersed members. On-the-ground field verifiers in Cameroon validate claims and secure the delivery of support packages. Through these mechanisms, LCS-Diaspora focuses on making funeral-related support accessible, transparent, and community-driven for its members.
