Eyemate Association trains guide dogs, called Eyemates, and provides mobility instruction and daily living training for visually impaired people. The organization develops and matches guide dogs with users and offers intensive walking instruction so users can travel independently without relying on white canes or sighted guides. It runs ongoing
follow-up support for guide dog users and manages the health care and training lifecycle of candidate and working dogs. Eyemate Association also conducts public education through facility tours, experiential walking sessions, school-oriented learning materials, magazines, and awareness events to improve understanding of guide dogs and visual impairment. In addition, it offers volunteer opportunities, publishes educational content for children, and collaborates with supporters and partner groups to sustain its guide dog training and support services.
