Books Over Borders provides children’s books to children who have limited access to reading materials. The organization partners with family literacy and head start programs, schools, libraries, community organizations, and NGOs to distribute cross-cultural storybooks. Its initiatives include supplying bilingual and multicultural books to refugee
and immigrant families, supporting family literacy programs, and delivering books to disadvantaged children in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Canada. Books Over Borders works with publishers and translators such as Hoopoe Books and Kashfi’s Children to offer stories in local and minority languages. Through these partnerships, the charity focuses on putting new, age-appropriate books directly into the hands of children in homes, classrooms, and community settings.
