Bondy develops an open-source distributed application networking platform that unifies service mesh and event mesh capabilities. Its core product, Bondy, implements the Web Application Messaging Protocol (WAMP) to support both routed remote procedure calls and publish/subscribe messaging in a single system. The platform uses a masterless
distributed architecture with cluster data replication to support high availability and resilience. Bondy includes multi-tenant security features such as embedded authentication, authorization, and role-based access control. It is programming language agnostic, integrates via standard HTTP gateways and WAMP client libraries, and supports multiple transports and serialization formats. The software is designed to connect web and mobile applications, IoT devices, and backend microservices using one communication protocol while avoiding additional sidecars or external infrastructure components.
