The company’s BillBob app lets users scan paper or digital receipts, uses optical character recognition and AI to extract item details, and calculates what each person owes based on what they consumed. It is designed for a range of
everyday contexts, including restaurant bills, grocery runs, bar tabs, group trips, and other shared purchases. Within the app, users can generate on-screen QR codes or unique payment links so friends can repay their share without needing to manually enter amounts. BillBob also supports multi-currency use in markets such as the UK, Eurozone, United States, Australia, and New Zealand. The platform includes an optional in-app payment feature with a platform fee, while scanning and splitting bills remains free to use.
