Azastra develops III-V compound semiconductor and optoelectronic devices for power and energy applications. The company focuses on photovoltaic power converters and laser power transmitters designed for power-over-fiber and hybrid electric vehicle subsystems. Its products are built on a proprietary Vertical Epitaxial HeteroStructure Architecture
that uses thin-film GaAs multi-junction designs to achieve high optical-to-electrical conversion efficiency.
