Founded in 2006, Arava Power Company seeks to supply hundreds of megawatts of green energy to Israel through alliances with kibbutzim, Negev Bedouin, and other Negev landowners. In 2009, Siemens partners with Arava Power Company and invested $15 million to acquire a 40% stake in the company. JNF-KKL also invested in Arava Power Company and the company became the first and only private company investment for JNF-KKL.
