The Local Data Company (LDC) has created a detailed and up-to-date database, including photos, of shops, bars, restaurants, venues and tourist attractions, across 1,000 town centres in the United Kingdom and Ireland. LDC licenses detailed local listings to over 40 local search and review websites in the UK and Ireland, including the leading search engines, tourist boards, directory companies and web 2.0 companies. The Local Data Company employs a small army of dedicated field researcher photographers who walk the streets, collect the data and take a photo of every business. LDC’s database is updated every six months by resurveying each town centre.
