Anne Bentley is Founder of SocialBuzzPR and offers clients her extensive experience leading corporate communications for global consumer technology brands. In creating SocialBuzzPR, Anne marries traditional and digital public relations with the social Web, working with clients to reach their audiences across an increasingly fragmented landscape.
Most recently, Anne was Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications at AOL where she developed communications strategies and advised senior executives during AOL’s transformation from a subscription-based business to a global Web-services company. Anne developed the plan and directed the execution of strategies to ensure global coverage for major company initiatives. Anne also led employee communications initiatives and her team won a PRNews Platinum Award in 2008 for internal communications for “AOL Today,†the company’s site for company news and information.
Anne joined AOL in 1996 and directed public relations initiatives and brand launches for the AOL Greenhouse, which provided seed investment funding to Internet start-ups. During her tenure at AOL, Anne’s role expanded to provide leadership for the company’s flagship brand and consumer software and products, programming publicity, and press campaigns across numerous categories, including personal finance, women, search, video, entertainment, movies, mobile, music, living, travel, and more.
