Simple IT

Simple IT, publisher of the French website “Site du Zéro” and the book series “Livre du Zéro”, was founded in 2007 by Mathieu Nebra, creator of the website, and Pierre Dubuc. Its aim is to provide learning resources for everyone, beginners or not, while publishing courses starting from zero (Zéro).

Since its launch in 1999, the “Site du Zéro”, open to everyone, puts forward educational resources in IT with some courses including examples and training exercices. After 11 years, the “Site du Zéro” is now one of the few references acclaimed by both students and teachers specialised in IT since our resources became even booklets in some engineering schools and universities.

In 2009, a course is published as the first book of a series called “Livre du Zéro”. This book contains some original chapters that you won’t find online. The book series includes web codes allowing quick access to source codes and resources online.

Courses are published on the web or in a paper version under a Creative Commons License and meet a very high success: 3,000,000 monthly unique visitors on the website and 18 750 books sold in 1 year with only 4 books.

In 2011, Simple IT offers its expertise in teaching by organizing vocational trainings. The same year, Simple IT is recognized Young Innovative Company by the French Ministry of Research. In the context of its Research and Development, the company works to develop online collaborative authoring tools and multi-channel publishing technologies.
