Managing the different aspects of the activities is known to be one of the tough aspects of an operator’s life. This because each activity requires its solution which ends up having one per each aspect which might cause compatibility problems and high costs. The best solution would be a single platform capable of managing all the activities, like our solution WROP|ASM. WROP|ASM is a carrier-class access and service management platform built around a fully-compliant RADIUS server providing standard-based AAA (Authentication Authorization, and Accounting) support for nomadic, mobile and fixed access networks operating in multi-technology (Wi-Fi, WiMAX, LTE; LMDS, HiperLAN, xDSL, FTTx, etc.) and multi-service deployment scenarios. WROP|ASM includes in the same ‘box’ all the key features of standard OSS/BSS architectures for WISP/ISP and service providers: AAA, Rating and Mediation, Policy Function, Product Management, User Management and Provisioning, Self-care Capabilities. Moreover, WROP|ASM allows implementing different types of business models, such as wholesale or retail, thanks to a tree-based multilevel chain managing up to four levels (operator, wholesaler, master-reseller, reseller). In addition, WROP|ASM is an open system with a rich set of standard API, enabling an easy integration with external OSS/BSS systems, including provisioning systems, CRM, billing, invoicing, payment systems, SMS gateways, databases, self-care portals. WROP|ASM is completed by some additional modules and components to manage daily operational activities. The Operational Portal encloses, on the same management point, common practices such as Network Inventory (based on a webGIS), Document Management, Subscriber Provisioning, Calendar Based Task Planner and CRM. A simplified version of WROP|ASM, called WROP|AAA, is available for small operators who don’t need accounting and rating capabilities. WROP|AAA is the sub-system built around a fully-compliant RADIUS server, enabling central management AAA functions for network subscribers and users.
