Slingshot is an ephemeral messaging app that allows users to send, or "sling," photos and 15 second videos to one friend, many, or all the contacts you’ve recently slinged with. A push notification will appear when somebody sends you something, but you'll only see a pixelated image until you respond.
Slingshot was designed to turn every user into a creator of content to break the "1% Rule" of internet culture. Anyone can sign up for the standalone app with a phone number and create a new social graph by scanning phone contacts or Facebook friends for people to share with.
