SlideBoom is a service for sharing PowerPoint presentations online. The service offers a free plug-in for PowerPoint (Windows only), which coverts presentations to flash and then publishes them on the web. Converted presentations retain most features of the original PowerPoint including embedded audio, video, transitions, animated gifs, and fonts.
CPS Labs, a company from Russia, which built the service, has a good amount of experience with PowerPoint to Flash technology. Before CPS built SlideBoom, SlideShare approached them to license their technology but they didn’t go for it and built their own “YouTube for presentations” service instead.
