Quizlet

Quizlet is a learning tool for students age 13+.

Quizlet was created by Andrew Sutherland in October 2005 as a way to study his high school French vocabulary. It quickly spread within his school and was launched publicly in early 2007. Users create their own flashcards or choose from sets made by others.

There are multiple learning modes.

  • Flashcard: online flashcards and text-to-speech audio
  • Speller: type what you hear in an audio-powered study mode
  • Learn: test and track what you users know
  • Test: randomly generated written, matching, yes/no, and multiple choice tests
  • Scatter: a fast-paced action game for dragging terms to their definitions
  • Space Race: a challenging typing game of terms and definitions

Mobile apps are available for iPhone, iPad, and Android.
