Predictive Forward Caching
Predictive Forward Caching enables viewers to download the video content they’re interested in automatically when it is published.
Content is cached at IP device in encrypted form. Server-side intelligence coordinates delivery and tracks playback of bytes.
Advantages:
- Significantly reduces cost of delivery by ‘trickling in’ bytes during off-peak hours.
- Enables delivery and viewing of high definition titles even if bandwidth does not support streaming of high definition video.
- Eliminates download wait times: video is cached in encrypted container and then ‘unlocked’ to enable instant viewing.
