Miner Wars 2081 is a six-axis space shooter featuring entirely destructible environments.
The game is playable in a single player campaign, cooperative modes, and includes a further MMO franchise in the works. As a player you are the operator of an advanced mining ship competing in an open-ended asteroid belt. You’re handed a plentitude of options with regards to play styles and objectives to complete: should you choose to explore the vastness of space, engage in outlandish, epic-scale battles, or accrue wealth through harvesting and plundering—money which can be used to purchase upgrades such as equipment and weapons to make a superior craft.
Gameplay is led by an epic narrative available in both single and multiplayer settings; the narrative will filter into the sequel title with many twists and unexpected tangents. Mission types will include, but are not limited to:
Strict adherence to quests is not a philosophy that the Miner Wars team has adapted. Rather, we encourage players to follow their own path, making ‘freeplay’ an important factor in this expansive realm.
Miner Wars will feature high-quality rendering, spectacular special effects and realistic physics. Thanks to the ‘VRAGE’ engine, the environment is completely destructible and persistent. Furthermore, there are literally no boundaries to this battle arena; players can explore a limitless plain as the universe is opened up to their gaming pleasure.
