mEgo lets you create avatars that are great visual representations of yourself. Users can choose from among all kinds of body types, hair, silhouettes and backgrounds. Once you have created a similar looking avatar you get to input information about yourself including everything from the basics to school and work to food and drink to trips and travel.
The avatars are also highly functional. People can view parts of your online profile by hovering over areas of your avatar. For instance, they might find info about your personal trips and travel by hovering over your right foot.
Users can input their favorite feeds into their avatars, which can also be viewed by hovering over certain body “pods”. They are inputted by providing the users’ own feed or by providing a specific search term or tag. For instance, with your YouTube feed you can provide the username for your personal channel or provide a search term like “TechCrunch.” Popular feeds for mEgo integration include Flickr, Photobucket, Amazon.com’s Wishlist, Last.fm, Del.icio.us and Netflix.
