Gist is a git-based paste site. Every paste is its own repository that you can edit on or offline.

Major features include:

• Multiple revisions
• Support for multiple files within a single pastie
• Can be edited offline and then “pushed” to GitHub
• Pasties can be forked by other users
• Supports private pasties
