Freemake Video Converter is a freeware video converter developed by Freemake. The program is used to convert between video formats, burn and rip DVD/Blu-ray, create photo slideshows and music visualizations, and upload files to YouTube.

Freemake Video Converter can import the majority of video, audio, and image formats, and outputs to AVI, MP4, WMV, Matroska, FLV, SWF, 3GP, DVD, Blu-ray, MP3. The program also prepares videos supported by various multimedia devices such as iPod, iPhone, iPad, iPad2, Xbox, Apple TV, Sony PlayStation, Blackberry, Android mobile devices, and others. The converter is able to perform DVD and Blu-ray authoring and convert videos, photographs, and music into DVD or Blu-ray video.

Freemake Video Converter also takes online videos through direct URL copypaste from YouTube, Facebook, MTV, Vimeo, Dailymotion, ComedyCentral, Megavideo, 50+ supported sites and converts them to any format or device available.

The program has an advanced preset editor which lets customize video and audio codecs, frame size, frame rate, sample size, sample rate, auto-crop black bars and limit the output file size.

Freemake Video Converter allows for simple video editing tasks, such as cutting, rotating, flipping, and combining multiple videos into one file; it can also create photo slideshows with background music. Users are then able to upload these creations to YouTube.

The user interface of Freemake Video Converter is based on Windows Presentation Foundation technology. Freemake Video Converter (version 1.2.0 or later) supports NVIDIA CUDA technology for H.264 video encoding. Since 2.2 version the converter also supports DXVA technology which provides faster encoding of video with H.264 and MPEG2 codecs.

Version 3.0 brings an easy conversion to HTML5 supported formats (H.264, OGV, WebM) and new presets for Nokia, Samsung and Blackberry mobiles.
