On November 15, 2010, Flix Cloud finished merging into Zencoder and was shut down. Zencoder is the team behind the original Flix Cloud application. We worked hard with Google to ensure that Flix Cloud customers could transition smoothly to a comparable service. (from http://zencoder.com/flixcloud/)
On2 Flix Cloud is a web-based transcoding service that reduces the cost and complexity of transcoding of digital video.
Flix Cloud is a Ruby on Rails web application that uses Amazon EC2 machine images as transcoding “workers.” The workers run our On2 Flix Engine transcoding SDK. At any time we can run as many workers as we need to handle the encoding demand from our customers.
