Coworkers.com is a central repository for you to give and receive reviews, testimonials and other professional feedback from throughout your career. You can provide praise where deserved, relay criticism where warranted and receive the same from your fellow workers.
Our detailed Scorecard rating system lets you enter scores for a coworker in 20 areas, broken down into 4 categories – Core Values, Competence, Interpersonal, and Productivity – while the comment area and tag system let you give free-form context to your feedback. Reviews about you become part of your Profile, which you can expand with additional details about yourself and your professional background and experience. You are also able to view and manage the reviews that you have received as well as written.
In addition to Coworkers.com’s core functionality of professional peer review, we provide an engaging experience with social networking features that let you interact with others, find people who share common work interests or have valuable skills to offer, or possibly even get a new job. Our Groups feature lets you keep track of others’ review and profile activity on the site. Our Blog and Forum sections let you share and discuss your work-related thoughts and experiences with others.
Finally, we offer an ever-growing set of tools, such as embeddable “badge” widgets, which allow you to display your coworker feedback on your own websites and blogs; and Zingers, which let you send instant feedback to friends and colleagues, without creating full-blown reviews.
Given that parts of Coworkers.com allow content to be posted anonymously, we recognize the need to counteract the potential for abuse. To that end, we have taken extensive measures to ensure data integrity and safeguard people’s privacy. The “rules of the road” for using the site are fair and transparent, and we moderate all public content.
Why It Makes Sense The time has come for Coworkers.com. By providing a safe, structured, and fair system to give and receive coworker reviews, we act as a trusted third party in facilitating workplace communications. The benefit of this is twofold: the reviewer is able to provide constructive criticism to coworkers, letting them know what they are doing well, or not so well. The recipient of a review is able to use the feedback he or she receives to gain self awareness and improve his or her workplace skills and persona. And a natural byproduct of our system is that employers can use Coworkers.com to scout for great employees, or to look for red flags before hiring someone. So, we are providing true value to all parties concerned - the reviewer gets an opportunity to provide feedback, the coworker gets meaningful insight, and the employer gets a wealth of information.
We are the only site in our space that is solely focused on work reputations as they relate to best-practices in workplace performance evaluation. In contrast to the multitude of one-dimensional rating sites that have emerged in recent years, Coworkers.com provides an unmatched level of depth in the information that it houses. By providing our entry-level service for free and available to anyone on the Internet, we are leveling the playing field in the area of employee performance management, especially for small to medium sized businesses.
