The Colibria Network Address Book meets the emerging needs of converged networks for one repository for contact information. This allows the user to access their services from any device and still receive a common presentation of their contact information. In addition, changes to a contact need only be made once. There after the changes are visible to all contact lists that contain that contact.
The solution utilises Colibria’s leading edge XDMS 2.0 technology allowing centralised storage of contact lists and users public / private profiles. Profiles can be synchronised from traditional mobile handsets using SyncML or from SIP clients and devices using an XCAP interface. A client adaptor layer allows diverse data formats to be unified into one common format, limiting client interworking issues.
Users can choose whether they make their profiles public or not. Public profiles are searchable, allowing a user to search for other people based e.g. on name, country, gender, etc. Users can also search for interest groups based typically on topic. The user can manage their contact list and their public profile through a simple web interface.
