AudioCubes, are a set of wireless intelligent light emitting objects or cubes which can detect each other’s position, orientation and user gestures.
The AudioCubes are developed by Percussa, a start-up focusing on enabling tangible user interface technology for entertainment applications.
The development of the AudioCubes started early 2004, and they were launched in 2007.
Each AudioCube is identical, has four onboard sensors to communicate and measure distances to objects nearby, and work on a USB-rechargeable battery.
The AudioCubes were developed to let people create music on the computer in a very intuitive way, just by moving around intelligent cubes. This allows them to be more creative, and less being an engineer.
