Alert Thingy is an Adobe AIR application that brings FriendFeed to the desktop. It was announced in March 2008, and launched on April 13, 2008.
The application was created by Howard Baines.
On April 16, 2008, Alert Thingy v 1.2 launched, which included integration with the Twitter API, allowing users to post messages directly to Twitter.
