8hands is a desktop application that combines instant messaging and social networking. Users no longer need to check many sites to see all of their friends’ new comments, messages, friend requests, videos, feeds, and the like. Instead they can get real time updates about what their friends are doing on MySpace, Facebook, Blogs, Flickr, YouTube and other sites. Additionally users can use the software to communicate by instant messaging and to send Twitter updates.
