Fumin Zhuo is a Managing Partner at GGV Capital and a founding partner of SIG Capital.
Prior to founding SIG, from 2002 to 2005 Zhuo was Chairman and CEO of Vertex China Investment, the China division of the leading venture capital firm in Singapore, where he was responsible for the listing of a number of companies including Linktone (NASDAQ: LTON), and China Finance Online (NASDAQ: JRJC).
From 1995-2002, Zhuo served as CEO, Executive Director, and Vice-Chairman of Shanghai Industrial Holdings Limited (HKSE: 363), where major investments included Shanghai Bright Dairy & Food Co. (SSE: 600597), Shanghai Jahwa Cosmetics (SSE: 600315), Lian Hua Supermarket, (HKSE: 980), Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (NYSE: SMI), SIIC South Pacific Hotel Co., CTrip.com International (NASDAQ: CTRP), and Clear Media (HKSE: 100). Shanghai Industrial Holdings Limited (HKSE: 363) is now a constituent stock of HSHKCI, the CTICI& S & P 30 Index.
From 1987 to 1995, Zhuo was the Senior Director of the Shanghai Office of Economic Reform.
Zhuo graduated from Jiao Tong University and received a Masters degree in Economics from Fudan University. Zhuo has 37 years of practical experience in enterprise management, fund management, assets integration and strategic M&As of public companies.
