Zack is a veteran technology executive, with 20 years of enterprise software experience. As Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for all customer-facing aspects of the business at Zendesk. Prior to Zendesk, he was EVP of Products at MySQL and responsible for Engineering & Marketing. MySQL was acquired by Sun Microsystems for $1 billion and is now part of Oracle Corporation. Zack has also held executive positions at Active Software, webMethods and Borland. He is a frequent speaker and blogger on using open source and cloud technologies for competitive advantage. In his spare time he is an occasional marathon runner and blues guitarist.
