Braun Jones is a partner with WWC Capital, LLC. He focuses on WWC’s investment banking practice providing advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, and debt and equity private placements. Braun specializes in software and technology services companies serving both the commercial and government markets. He has managed successful corporate-turnaround efforts and a variety of financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private debt and equity placements, and public stock and bond offerings.
Prior to WWC, Braun co-founded and served as president of a Washington, D.C.-based middle-market investment bank specializing in mergers, acquisitions, capital formation, and business valuations. In addition, he has made private equity investments in companies such as Acuity Technology, Plateau Systems, ZeNETex, HireStrategy, Rannoch/ERA, and BrightDoor Systems.
In 1994, Braun co-founded VCampus Corporation (formerly University Online, Inc.), an online learning company that was taken public in 1996. In 1992, Braun founded Integrated Management Strategies (IMS), a middle-market financial advisory business. During this time, he gained additional executive management and operational experience by serving as chief financial officer and executive director for two of his client companies. Braun began his career in 1988 as a financial analyst and project director, raising capital and managing major development projects for a subsidiary of Arnold & Porter, one of Washington DC’s largest law firms.
