Winton Davies had been a programmer for thirty years, the last fifteen working as a research scientist in the domain of machine learning and text analysis. He was a founding member of Yahoo Research Labs and a Principal Research Engineer at Overture, GoTo, and Cadabra. Winton holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Reading in addition to a MS in Artificial Intelligence and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Aberdeen.
