“Prior to joining Passenger, William co-founded Mergere, Inc. an Enterprise Software build platform which was later acquired by Simula Labs, Inc. There, he served as Vice President of IT and Client Technical Services for Simula Labs and its portfolio companies.
William also served as co-founder to Overxeer, Inc., a pioneer in building access control policy engines based upon the Oasis XACML specification. They successfully tested their code at the first Oasis SAML event along side companies like Sun, IBM and Novell. Overxeer was subsequently acquired by Gluecode, Inc. in 2004. William served as Gluecode’s Standards Liasion to Oasis and continues to serve as Co-Chair of the XACML Technical Committee.
William spent fourteen years as a consultant to Fortune 500 companies such as JP Morgan Partners, Toyota, Toshiba and Arco. His consulting work focused on transforming business requirements into tangible technical designs and collaboration with development leads to see the design to completion. As part of his consultancy, William has spent the last four years integrating open source technologies into more traditional corporate infrastructures to help his clients realize reductions in development and testing time.
