Bill is an Investment Banker with a background in Corporate Law. He was educated in Australia and the United States and worked on Wall Street for 3 years. He was a Senior Partner of Mallesons Stephen Jaques where he specialised in corporate law, particularly in Mergers & Acquisitions and IPOs.
Bill was also Senior Assistant Secretary of the Australian Attorney - General’s Department responsible for Corporate and Securities policy and has held a number of senior corporate positions before founding Beerworth & Partners Limited.
Bill is also Chairman of Contango Capital Partners Limited; a Director of Australand Property Group; Chairman of Macquarie Graduate School of Management and is a member of the Australian Competition Tribunal. He is also Chairman of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare. Bill was also a member of the Financial System Inquiry – “the Wallis Inquiry” - on the restructure of the Australian financial system.
