Will owns and runs an IT consulting company, Release Consulting Ltd (RCL), which was created when he outsourced an IT department from Universal Music Group International in 2008. Today RCL continues to help Music Industry companies with their technology projects and in particular we specialise in rapid development of proof-of-concept projects in emerging mobile technology such as iOS, Android & Windows Phone.
Will has a broad range of business skills and experiences including writing business plans, pitching for investment, creating high performing teams from scratch, getting things done quickly on a start-up budget, as well as several years of corporate Enterprise IT management. Will’s passion is new technology and the application of new technology to solve obvious real world problems.
He holds a Ph.D. and 1st BSc (Hons.) in Computer Science both from the University of Nottingham and has worked in technology positions in Music companies since 1997. Previous employers include Universal Music Group International (Major Record Label), Ministry of Sound (UK youth/entertainment brand), Peoplesound.com (Music .com start-up), Brainspark (Internet Incubator) and Adobe Systems, CA.
