Wilco Jansen is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and one of the Co-founders of Abillo. He has an extensive industry background, having worked in both development and executive positions for a number of large companies and one of the largest Open Source projects in the world. He is known for his open, no-nonsense, just do it mentality and has a proven track-record of being able to steer people and projects into planned directions.
Wilco is a passionate and well received speaker who has delivered keynotes and participated in events worldwide to promote and evangelize both the Joomla! CMS brand, and Open Source principles in general. Prior to his involvement in Abillo, he has served as an Open Source Matters board member, Joomla! Development Coordinator, Joomla! Core Team Member, Google Summer of Code Manager and Mentor as well as overall Project Leader at this globally known Open Source project.
Wilco has a bachelor degree in business and information engineering and studied knowledge and information engineering at the Middlesex University in London.
