whurley (William Hurley) is one of the co-founders of Chaotic Moon Studios, a mobile and interactive development house with clients like Disney, Intel, Starbucks, Whole Foods and more. In addition to running the research and development division of Chaotic Moon, whurley serves as a thought-leader and expert in the world of mobile technology and open source software. He is the creator of one of CES 2012’ Best of Show breakthroughs, the Board of Awesomeness.
Before co-founding Chaotic Moon, Whurley’s career took him from R&D at Apple, to IBM as a Sr. Manager of Targeted Internet Solutions. Along the way, he also co-founded and served as CTO for Symbiot, a network security company.
Other fun facts: The City of Amsterdam awarded him the International Genius grant, IBM named him a Master Inventor (he’s got 11 patents to his name), and he co-founded iPhoneDevCamp, iPadDevCamp, and BarCampAustin alike.
