Wengyik�s background is in technology, with 12 years of involvement with various Internet technologies. Prior to joining Schoffstall Ventures, he was the Chief Technology Officer at Conducent Technologies, and before that, a Staff Scientist at PSINet.
In the past, Wengyik has worked on a variety of application and information technologies, and is the co-author of the original Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP, RFC1777 & RFC1778) specification. Wengyik is also responsible for one of the early implementations of the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), and has participated in various working groups of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and the North American Directory Forum (NADF) on application and information services. In various capacities at PSINet and Conducent, Wengyik has operated information services ranging from DNS and X.500 to a large push server system for distributing online content to the PC desktop.
