Vivienne joined Gild in 2012 as Chief Scientist, overseeing R&D and IP development. Vivienne solves problems in data mining, text analysis, cognitive modeling and algorithm development. She has founded three prior companies focusing on unstructured data mining and cognitive model. Prior to catching the startup bug, Vivienne was a research scientist at the Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience (UC Berkeley), where she remains a visiting scholar. Previously, she was a junior fellow at Standford’s Mind, Brain & Computation Center and earned her Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon.
