Viva Chu is a serial tech entrepreneur with a track record of successful exits.
In 2008, he sold Handipoints, a kids gaming company backed by Charles River Ventures, Felicis Ventures, Inspiration Ventures and Keith Rabois, to Slide Inc. where he led their Virtual Worlds Studio. Slide was purchased by Google in 2009.
In 2004, Viva sold his first company Transplay, an early pioneer of in-game advertising, to Massive Incorporated which was later acquired by Microsoft. He is the inventor of US Patent 7698178: Online Game Advertising System: http://tinyurl.com/6b77las.
He has a Computer Science degree from Duke University and was the Chief Architect at Adteractive, VP of Engineering at Root Markets, Principal Architect at MetaTV (aquired by Comcast) and Director of Engineering at Viador (went public in 2000).
