Vikram Dendi runs business strategy and product planning for the Microsoft Translator group. In addition, he also runs the design team that is responsible for the various front-end properties that are delivered by the group.
Prior to his current role as Director with the Advanced Strategies and Research division, he was responsible for building up an emerging markets focused incubation group for which he traveled extensively. Vikram also was involved in defining the mobile and location based services strategies for Microsoft.
Before Microsoft, Vikram played a key role in bringing world class multimedia frameworks to Linux and other unix based platforms. He was one of the founders of the Helix Player project. He was also responsible for the Mac product portfolio at Real Networks, including the award winning Real Player for Mac.
Vikram graduated with Honors from California Institute of Technology, and was a 2002 Graduate Entrepreneurial Fellow of the Caltech-ArtCenter-UCLA program to train and support technology entrepreneurs.
