Vikas Vinayak is a technical entrepreneur, combining his analog engineering background with the ability to successfully identify markets for new technologies. With the opening of the Indian economy in 1991 and consequent expansion of CNN into India, Vikas co-founded TouchBeam Systems, a CATV Head-end Equipment company, where he was co-CEO from 1991 to 1998. During this time, the company produced 85 products for the distribution of CATV signals.
Vikas moved to Silicon Valley in 1999 to work for National Semiconductor, where he took on various leadership roles, including Manager of Wireless Applications covering National’s Platinum, DECT, Bluetooth and GSM product lines.
He joined Maxim Integrated Products in 2002 as Business Manager for UMTS RF Transceivers where he was involved in the architecture, design, and production of RF products across all major cellular standards in all major frequency bands.
Vikas holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
