Chattha is also chairman of Project Ahimsa, a global effort to empower youth through music. The organization has funded 80 micro-grants for children in 14 countries. (projectahimsa.org). In 2009, Vijay served as executive producer to the Project Ahimsa Global Lingo album in 2009, which went to #4 on iTunes world music charts without a record label, solely via social media and PR.
