Vijay Anand is a technology Entrepreneur based out of Chennai, India. He is widely known in the Indian Entrepreneurial space as The Startup Guy, founder of Proto.in - India’s biggest Startup Showcase Platform, which has evolved into a support system for upcoming entrepreneurs and startup companies. He is a mentor to various early stage companies, heads the Incubation Centre based out of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras which focuses in businesses for the Emerging and Rural Markets (www.rtbi.in) and also is associated with Ventureast Fund Advisors - an Indian Venture Capital Firm.
He is a strong advocate of the Entrepreneurial lifestyle in India, is an active speaker, blogger and columnist, and is associated with Industry bodies such as NASSCOM in building the Product Ecosystem in the subcontinent. He is on the board of four privately held companies and on various committees within the Government associated with Entrepreneurship in the country.
