Victor Koo is the founder and CEO of Youku, a Chinese web streaming video service. Koo received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1989. He started his career at Bain & Company as a Management Consultant.

In 1992, Koo started his MBA studies at Stanford University. He returned to China in 1994 and was appointed Vice President of Wells Fargo, overseeing media, entertainment, and industrial venture capital projects.

In 1999 Koo joined Sohu and served as Chief Financial Officer and went on to be President of the company. In 2005, Koo initiated a tri-network integration and started a $ 3 million search fund.

In 2006 Koo was appointed CEO of Youku.
