Linking technology innovation to business value and working in highly collaborative environments have been the touchstones in her career. She is currently COO at Cogniciti, a neuroscience start-up re-defining how cognitive conditions are assessed and treated. Veronika thrives in the most chaotic, undefined stages of new ventures: transforming cutting edge science into tools and creating first commercial proof points. Until taking on a leadership role with Cogniciti Veronika Litinski led the Health Care and Life Sciences practice at MaRS Discovery District (www.marsdd.com). Veronika has been with MaRS since the doors opened in July 2005. She began as Director, Venture Group and in this role oversaw the creation commercialization programs. She worked closely with many start-ups that grew into great companies (Sysomos, MedCurrent, ViveNano) and many more that became great learning experiences for the teams involved.
Veronika is also the executive producer of two Healthcare initiatives at MaRS: Business of Aging and Health IT Forum, both will launch in Q2-2012. Veronika started her career as a research scientist at Lawrence Livermore Lab in Berkeley. Transitioning to the business world, Veronika founded a medical journal in Russia, earned her MBA at the University of San Francisco and worked in corporate finance with UBOC and GATX Venture Finance in San Francisco Veronika was born and raised in Moscow and graduated from Moscow University.
