Tyler Willis is an enterprise technology executive and angel investor. As the Vice President of Business Development at Unified, he leads all efforts related to partnerships and product integrations.
Before Unified, Willis was the Head of Brand Strategy at Involver, an enterprise social media platform used by more than one million companies and many Fortune 500 brands, such as Best Buy, Target, Nike, MTV, and Facebook. Involver was a founding member of Facebook’s Preferred Developer Program, the first company to bring business applications into Facebook, and the platform Facebook chose to power its most high-profile marketing activities, including the Super Bowl, Olympics, World Cup and 500m user milestone. As a member of the founding team, Willis led marketing and partnership activities during Involver’s growth. The company grew to over one million customers at the time it was acquired by Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL) in 2012.
Prior to Involver, Willis founded Willis Media Group, which helped enterprise companies with their social marketing strategies. In addition to his work at Unified, Willis is an advisor to several innovative technology companies and is a columnist for BigThink (a TIME Magazine top 50 site).
He is a frequent, well-received speaker at marketing and technology organizations (e.g. Microsoft, Oracle, Vertical Response, South by Southwest, and American Marketing Association). His presentations on marketing, social media, and entrepreneurship have been described as “very insightful and educational with an excellent ability to balance trends, techniques and strategies with concrete advice and real-life examples.”
